Parks & Rec Season 5 Episode 3 Recap

Watch the throne! Ron is king of this week’s Parks & Rec. The rest of the cast agrees.

Episode Rating: Brilliant, hilarious and… perfect!  5 stars.

Summary:  Well I won’t ruin anything for you but I asked a friend what her favorite part of last Thursday’s (sorry it took so long) episode of Parks & Recreation was and she said that watching Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) get dressed up as a princess to impress a lady was the best moment of the show.  I agree, and can maybe count it as one of the best moments in the character’s life-span.  Which would then, in turn, make it one of the greatest moments on TV because he is one of the greatest characters on TV right now.  I realize that logic is often flawed but you get the point at least when I use it.  All the other moments from last week’s episode weren’t as good as Ron’s arc but were outstanding nonetheless.  I laughed at every scene, sometimes uncontrollably.  Fans will love it, outsiders will find it funny, if you watch it and don’t laugh like I said I laughed you have to know that this show is very character-specific.  The quirks designated for each are built up over the course of the show.  When you’re familiar with how the characters act, this episode is top-notch.

Cast MVP: Ron Fucking Swanson.  ‘Nuff said.
